The Lady Jackets advanced to a bidistrict playoff game after winning a tiebreaker against Austwell-Tivoli on Feb. 10 by a score of 33-32.

The Lady Jackets played Calvert for the bidistrict playoff on Tuesday, Feb. 14, but results of the game were not known yet by presstime.

Earlier last week, Runge defeated Nordheim in the team’s final regular season game.

The Runge Lady Jackets used a 25-1 2nd qtr. run to pull away from the Nordheim Lady Pirates, 62-19. It was the final regular season game for both teams, as Runge gets ready for the playoffs. Scoring for the Lady Jackets were Jeanette Ramirez with 19 pts, Yvette Ramirez with 12 (all 3-ptrs.), Emily Molina 11, Kalyn Janssen and Aimee Garza, each with 7, Alixx Phillips with 4, and Amanda Castaneda with 2.

The wins against Nordheim and Austwell-Tivoli improved the Lady Jackets’ record to 16-14 overall and 7-3 in district.
