Joe F. Kyselica, 77, of Hobson died Feb. 26, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas.

He was born on Sept. 18, 1934 in Hobson to Joseph R. Kyselica and Emma Uhlrich Kyselica. He served his country in the US Army, he was an active member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Hobson, he was a member of the KJT Society #41, and was a former member of the Holy Name Society. Joe and his wife Florence married on Sept. 15, 1962 at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Joe was a carpenter, farmer and rancher.

Survivors include wife, Florence Kyselica of Hobson; daughters, Jane Dudycha and husband Dean of San Antonio and Vivian Swierc and husband Jon of Falls City; grandchildren, Sean Dudycha, Jon Swierc Jr., Joseph Swierc, Shanna Swierc, and Jacob Swierc; and sisters, Clara Taylor and Agnes Zaiontz and her husband Thomas.

Preceded in death by his parents; and sister Mary Kyselica.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012 and a funeral mass was celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday, Mar. 1, 2012, at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Interment followed in the Hobson Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Sean Dudycha, Jon Swierc Jr., Joseph Swierc, Patrick Zaiontz, Steve Taylor, and Tim Taylor. Honorary pallbearer was Jacob Swierc. Funeral services were entrusted to Rhodes Funeral Home, Inc. The on-line guest book may be signed at
