We have had yet another major fatality this past week in the death of 19 year old Tray Vickery of Kenedy and our deepest sympathies goes out to his family! Many others have been killed since our traffic has increased and while Eagle Ford Shale formation has brought prosperity into the hands of many it has also brought much sadness to those dealing with losses.
Problems concerning roads, traffic lights inside our cities and out need to be addressed and this takes time. But one thing that can be done right now is have every church pray Psalms 91 everyday over all driving in Karnes County! When this need is put on every prayer list and prayed over everyday the Lord will hear from heaven and answer! We need to especially pray hard for our truck drivers to be courteous and safe on our roads and for our policeman as they strive to be diligent and watchful!
Cell phones usage and texting needs to be addressed too! The popular slogan during drug awareness years ago was: “Just Say No!” Today we need to say: “Just Say No” to cells phones usage and texting especially when traffic is so heavy!
I am praying Psalms 91 right now and ask you to do the same! May God have mercy over our county!
