Leopard softball team improves to 3-0 in district

The Kenedy Leopards improved to 3-0 in district, 9-5 overall with a 13-1 win over Runge.

Saren Sutton got the win and also got a hit, a stolen base, 3 walks, and scored twice.

Megan Villanueva got 2 hits and 2 RBI’s, a walk, and scored 3 times.

Becca Brown got a hit and a stolen base, 2 walks, 2 RBI’s, and scored 3 times.

Laurel Vickery got a hit and scored once, a walk, and 2 RBI’s. Lauren Hernandez got a hit and scored once, and also got a sacrifice and an RBI.

Corina Barrientez got a double, an RBI, and scored once; and Xuabriana Barrientez got a hit and scored once.

Desiree Guerra also got a hit and an RBI, stole a base and scored once.

Mariah Villarreal and Natalie Garcia both got on base with a walk.

Leopards coaches expressed congratulations to the Leopards and wished them continued good luck in district.
