For the past few weeks the Kenedy third grade classes have been meeting with Carla Martini, Prevention Specialist, of Connections Individual and Family Services, Floresville. Mrs. Martini uses evidence based curriculums designed to teach children how to protect themselves in dangerous situations and decrease risk factors for children. She provides the students with information about the harmful effects of alcohol, tobacco, and drugs through alternative activities and presentations. Mrs. Martini is pictured below with the third graders from Kenedy Elementary.
