KCHS golfers compete in district golf tournament

The Badger and Lady Badger Golf teams competed this week in their district tournament. While results were not final by deadline, they have been busy preparing for this big tournament in various practices.

On Friday March 30, the Badgers competed in the Navarro Golf Tournament in Seguin, the Team shot a 413. Leading the way for the Badgers was Justin Barnhill- 96, Nick Quintanilla – 100, Matthew Kotara and Dylan Wright – 102, Jacob Janysek – 109, and Wesley Lover – 115.

On Monday, March 19, the Lady Badgers competed in the Karnes County Jr. Golf Association Tournament at Kenedy.The girls shot a team score of 422 to win 1st in the tournament. Team members include Courtney Garcez – (99) 1st place medalist, Dominique Garcez -2nd place and Amber Bruce – 3rd place (100) tied for second place. Dominique winning in a play-off. Hailey Johnson (111) – 6th place medalist. Stephanie Garcez – (123), Savannah Dobson – (137), and Hannah Kelley.

On Tuesday, March 20, the Badgers played in the KCJGA Tournament. They placed 3rd with a score of 413.Nick Adams – (95) led the Badgers and he was 5th medalist. Other team member scores were Jacob Janysek –(104), Nick Quintanilla and Dylan Wright – (105), Wesley Lover – (109), and Coy Martin and Earl Morin – 120 each.
