Olga Hoffman Moravitz, beloved wife of Andrew (Andy) Moravitz and cherished mother of four, passed into the arms of the Lord on April 4th, 2012 in her home in Bisbee, AZ surrounded by her loving family, from complications of Alzheimer’s.

Olga was born in the German community of Hobson, Texas, on March 17, 1928, to Ewald and Beta Hoffmann. Olga and Andy moved from Texas to Bisbee in 1947 shortly after their marriage. They spent their entire 64 years of marriage and raised their family in Bisbee.

After many years as a stay at home mom, Olga worked for the Cochise County Boards of Supervisors from 1962 until her retirement in 1986.

To her family, Olga was the most loving mother and grandmother. Her greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. Her most enjoyable roles were caretaker, cheerleader, and avid sports fan following their many sporting activities and games through their high school years and college at U of A, ASU, UCLA, Stanford, and Idaho State. She also enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, sewing, cooking, and the great outdoors.

Olga is survived by her beloved husband Andrew and her four children, twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; Sharon and son-in-law John Harbour; grandchildren, David, James, Matthew, Lisa Harbour; Son - Eugene, daughter-in-law, Vy, grandchildren Karin, Forsythe, Ryan Moravitz, Sarah Moravitz; Son - Jeffrey, daughter-in-law Brenda, grandchildren- Joshua Moravitz and Mamie Moravitz. Son-Rodney, grandchildren- Kate, Cassie and Rodney Moravitz; twelve great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Jacob, Andrew M., Tyler, Rachel, Andrew J., Aiden, Brian, Johnathan, Sadie, Sean and Kailee.

She is also survived by sisters; Anna Mae (the late Raymond) Jurgajtis of Falls City, Rita (John) Olenick of Poth, and Robert B. (Martha) Hoffmann of San Antonio.

We all have a new guardian angel to look after us from Heaven.

A Rosary and visitation was held at Jensen Funeral Home in Sierra Vista on April 7th at 10:00am. Services were held at St. Patrick’s Church in Bisbee on April 13th, 2012 at 10:00 am.
