I want to personally thank, these fine loyal dedicated professionals, the Karnes County Sheriff Dispatchers and Officers, Karnes City Fire Department, Kenedy Fire Department, Karnes County EMS, South Texas Regional Ambulance, the Pilots and staff on the Six (6) Airlife transports to University and SAMC Hospitals, the Doctors and Nurses at Otto Kaiser Hospital, Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers, Karnes County JP #2 and Homeland Security Investigators, which all the professionals came together around 4:18 AM on April 21st, 2012, as a result of a one vehicle roll -over.

The vehicle was traveling north bound on FM 792 about three miles south of Helena, when the driver lost control and rolled the vehicle numerous times ejecting most of the Nineteen (19) illegal aliens inside.

The extremely fast response and knowledge of their duties of the above mentioned professionals saved many a life that day.

I am extremely proud to work side by side with these men and women.

Karnes County Sheriff
