At Synod Assembly last week, ELCA Presiding Bishop Mark Hanson shared stories of mission, vision, and hope throughout the ELCA. Council President, Paul Pfeifer, filling in for a vacationing Pastor David Collins, shared some of these stories as well as his own general impressions of Synod Assembly.

What might all this mean for us? The ELCA is alive and well and ready to move forward in mission. We have a message of hope and grace to share, a much needed message in an increasingly strident and law oriented religious environment.

St. Paul’s News and Notes: Congratulations to Paul Pfeifer who at Synod Assembly was elected to a four year term on Synod Council. St. Paul’s Women of the ELCA will meet following worship on June 3. Cross Trails Ministry Day Camp will be held July 9-13 from 8:30-3:30. To volunteer, make a donation, or to sign up your favorite student contact Barbara Jonas.
