The Karnes City ISD Team of Eight, consisting of the board of trustees and superintendent, joined trustees and administrators from across the state at the Texas Association of School Boards’ (TASB) Summer Leadership Institute June 14-16 in San Antonio. Approximately 2,250 new and veteran education leaders received in-depth training on critical issues facing local districts and discussed best practices for effective board governance and cost-efficient programs. Each trustee is required to obtain a minimum of eight hours of training per year.
