Karnes County Road and Bridge Department extends thanks to emergency workers and community

Karnes County Road and Bridge would like to recognize and thank the following: Bee County, Pawnee, Falls City, Runge, Kenedy and Karnes City Fire Departments for their rapid response on extinguishing the 8 mile stretch of grass fires on Hwy 72 on Aug. 30, 2012. We would also like to thank and recognize MO-VAC Services, Nabors Well Services, K-3 BMI Oilfield Services, Karnes County Employees Rick Jalufka, Jesse Sandoval, Jeffrey Wiatrek, James Barnes, DPS, Karnes County EMS, all volunteers and The Karnes County Sheriff’s Department for rapid response and working together to get these fires extinguished and preventing any injuries or further damages. A special recognition to trucking companies for hauling water to fire departments and to the outstanding Fire Departments for their dedication and service, it’s greatly appreciated.

Karnes County Road and Bridge Department would also like to recognize and thank the following: Kenedy Fire Department, Karnes City Fire Department, K-3, BMI Oilfield Services, landowners, volunteers, Karnes Electric and AEP for their rapid response in extinguishing fire, help with traffic, rapid response to the repair of downed power line at a grass fire on CR 152 and Hwy 72 on Aug. 29, 2012. Thanks again, your professionalism, expertise and care of the county is greatly appreciated.
