Mrs. Fenner was born March 18, 1956, in Alice to Jim Handley and Mary Parrot Handley. She and her family moved to Refugio in 1964, where she was baptized in 1969 at the First Baptist Church and graduated from Refugio High School in 1974. She and Don Fenner were married in Refugio on May 20, 1974 and moved to Karnes City. She worked for Kar Ken Manufacturing for many years and for the past 20 years she carried mail on a rural route.
Survivors include her parents of Cuero; husband Don Fenner of Karnes City; son Jamie Fenner of Karnes City; and her brother Jack (Judy) Handley of Victoria.
Visitation was held from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 18 at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel in Karnes City.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 19 at the First United Methodist Church in Karnes City with Rev. Sue Huntsman officiating.
Interment followed in the Karnes City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Russell Zimmermann, Gerald Malik, Jimmy Loya, Joe Jalufka, Charlie Malik, and Leon Jendrzey. Honorary pallbearers were Scott, Ryan and Todd Grimsinger.
