Karnes City’s Phillip Vaughan scores for the Badgers on a very physical play during the team’s 50-45 overtime win against Nixon-Smiley. Karnes City never had a lead during regulation and only tied it at 43 on a free throw with less than ten seconds left. By battling hard and never giving up, the team edged to a five point lead that stood up for the final victory. The Badgers will face Luling at home on Friday, Feb. 1.
