The Falls City Beaverettes basketball team defeated Port Aransas in the championship game with a score of 44-41 to win the tournament and bring home top honors.

Kaelan Cheatham was named MVP and Hannah Lyssy and Lexi Ehlers were both named as All Tournament selections.

In the championship game, Hannah Lyssy led the Beaverettes in scoring with 16 points. Kaelan Cheatham scored 12 and Alexis Sekula and Haleigh Blocker scored five each.

The win brings the team’s record to 7-0 for the season.

In an earlier tournament game, the Beaverettes defeated Moulton, 47-14.

Haleigh Blocker led in scoring with 11 points, Hannah Lyssy scored nine and Alexis Sekula scored seven.

Earlier in the tournament, the Beaverettes beat Taft, 51-30.

Kaelan Cheatham led in scoring with 18 and Lexi Ehlers scored 15 points.

In another tournament game, the Beaverettes defeated Hempstead, 73-45.

Kaelan Cheatham and Alexis Sekula led in scoring with 18 points each.
