The Karnes City ISD Education Foundation invites you to make a donation towards academic excellence. Your donation will help not only KCISD through much needed teaching grants and the Senior Celebration, but also the entire county through the county-wide attended Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Camp in June and the startup of the Eagle Ford Vocational Center.

There is such great talent within the school district, yet 50%+ of the students still qualify for free and reduced lunches and over 30% are considered at-risk. However, the ability to improve educational excellence will impact all the students, whether it is to assist them with better academic skills going into college or breaking the cycle of poverty by encouraging college and/or vocational training entrance. Your tax deductible donations are greatly appreciated.

There are 4 easy opportunities for you to join KCISD in their quest.

A general cash donation to the foundation:

The foundation is 501c3 non-profit. All donations to the foundation are tax-deductible as allowed by law and benefit KCISD. If you are looking for a charity to donate towards for your 2013 taxes, KCISD would be thrilled if you would consider them. You will receive a thank you receipt verification, no matter what size you donate. Checks can be made payable to the KCISD Education Foundation and mailed to: KCISD Education Foundation C/O KCISD Administration Office 314 N Hwy 123, Karnes City, Texas 78118. Contact the foundation at 830-780-2321 ext. 200 or via email with any questions.

An “Apple for the Teacher” Gift:

Trinkets, candy, and flowers are all great ways to show your appreciation at Christmas however, we have a unique gift idea: Make a donation to education in your favorite educator’s name. By doing so, you not only show your gratitude to your teacher, but you also help future students enjoy remarkable classroom experiences. With a donation of any size, a card will be sent to the teacher of your choice showing you made a contribution to the KCEF in his or her name. You'll receive the satisfaction of providing a special gift to a special teacher, while the teacher will know future grant opportunities are still being made possible thanks to your generosity. Contact the foundation at 830-780-2321 ext. 200 or via email with any questions.

Become a sponsor to the February 15th Gala:

The momentum is really picking up for the 3rd Annual Gala. Example: We now have confirmed 6 oil companies as sponsors of the gala with generous donations of up to $25,000. Any size donation is appreciated and very much needed, if the foundation is going to make programs like the Vocational Center a reality. Please contact Jennifer Dillingham, the Gala chair to make an appointment with her development team to talk about all the great things they are achieving and how you can help. Her phone number is (830) 583-5748 and email is:

Stocking Stuffer Idea: Purchase Gala tickets as a Christmas gift for your friends and family:

The 3rd Annual Gala is going to be an exciting event with dancing, appetizers, drinks, a silent auction and more. Cactus Country will be performing and they are happy to showcase their lead guitarist and Karnes City Alumnus Mark Odom, a five time San Antonio Guitar Wars winner. $25 per person general admission tickets are now available for purchase. You may purchase tickets from the KCISD Administration office at 314 N. Hwy 123 or from any of your friends who are serving on the board. Contact the foundation at 830-780-2321 ext. 200 or via email with any questions.
