As one sings Lamb of God before communion, they are reminding themselves once more of the sacrifice the Lord and Savior gave so that sinful people could be forgiven and be granted peace. Humans are prisoners to sin and not through their own efforts will they be saved but only through the Lamb of God who had mercy on them and set them free. When one confesses their sins and partake of the body and blood of Christ, God has mercy on them and grants them forgiveness and peace. May all confess with their lips and their lives that Jesus is Lord.
