Mr. Dieringer was born June 6, 1949, in Cuero to Edwin J. and Gertrude Shock Dieringer. He was an oil field consultant for R.W. Dirks and was of the Lutheran faith.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Debbie Dieringer of Beeville; three daughters, Jacquelyn Rust of Huntsville, Tammy Gonzales of Beeville and Becky Chamrad of Round Rock; two sons, Gary Wayne Dieringer II of Beeville and Wayne Barnes of Sugarland; six grandchildren, Mckayla Barnes, Addie Barnes, Braylon Barnes, Jake Prothro, Noah Porthro and Samantha Chamrad; two sisters, Doris Pope and Fay Smart of Kenedy; and two brothers, Charles Dieringer of Sealy, and Ray Dieringer of Kenedy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin J. and Gertrude Shock Dieringer.
Visitation was held Sunday, Jan. 26, from 3 to 5 p.m. in Eckols Funeral Home Chapel.
The funeral service was conducted there Monday, Jan. 27, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. T.J. Burris officiating. Interment followed at the Sand Branch Cemetery in Bigfoot.
