UIL announces realignment for local football and basketball teams

AUSTIN – The University Interscholastic League announced Monday the reclassification and realignment of Texas schools for competition in football and basketball seasons in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

For football seasons 2014-16, Falls City, Kenedy, Louise, Runge and Yorktown will compete against one another in 2A Division 2, Region 4, District 14.

For basketball seasons 2014-15, Falls City, Kenedy, Charlotte, Pettus, Three Rivers and Yorktown will compete against one another in 2A, Region 4, District 30.

For basketball seasons 2014-15, Runge, Austwell-Tivoli, Nordheim, San Isidro, San Perlita and Tilden McMullen County will compete against one another in 1A, Region 4, District 32.

For football seasons 2014-16, Karnes City, Blanco, Natalia, Nixon Smiley, Poth and Stockdale will compete against one another in 3A Division 2, Region 4, District 14.

For basketball seasons 2014-15, Karnes City, Bloomington, Goliad, Luling, Nixon Smiley, Poth and Stockdale will compete against one another in 3A, Region 4, District 27.
