Mr. Eddy was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and received the National Defense Service Medal. He had a long career in the oil field services industry. He enjoyed antique cars and animals of all kinds.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth “Liz” Eddy; three sons, Morris, (Kim) Eddy Jr., Dwayne (Barbara) Eddy and Dean (Ellie) Eddy; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Doris (Jim) Gates; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Dewey Eddy; a sister, Johnnie Mae Neal; and brothers, Irving Roy Eddy and James Harold Eddy.
The funeral service was conducted Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 2 p.m. at Eckols Funeral Home in Kenedy. Burial followed at the Kenedy Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mark Reddout, Billy Palmer, Carl Currie, John Pepper, Gary Horne and Rusty Horne.
