Kenedy Junior Alex Miller finished in 4th place in her weight class at the Region 5 Division 3 Championships. Her total of 755lbs was the highest total of the 1A lifters in her division. This alone would have sent her to the State Championships but she also made her qualifying weight total to automatically send her to the State Championships on March 14 in Corpus Christi. Three other students, Marissa Hernandez (freshman), Alex Miller (junior) and Kim Reyes (senior) also competed in the Region 5 Division 3 championships.
