Everyone’s hard work has paid off once again! The 9th Annual Ladies Tea and Salad Luncheon was fantastic and the most successful year to date. By popular demand, more seating was available this year and more raffle prizes were given. Great reviews were received from so many in the wonderful audience.
John Wayne Schulz and Regina Owens outdid themselves as the entertainment. Their great country music and fiddle playing captured the audience and a great time was had by all.
Each time everyone comes together for projects at Good Shepherd Lutheran, it is a reminder over and over again that is really does take a village or a community of people to make each event a huge success. It is hard work, but the job always gets done with great fellowship, while creating wonderful memories.
A great big thank you goes to all the contributors who helped in various ways: attendance and tips; monies and donations; Relay For Life spokesman; City of Kenedy – Ruhman Franklin Auditorium; Shell Station – ice donation; program design; salad buffet – wonderful cooks from Good Shepherd; kitchen crew and waiters; decoration staff; star favors; ticket sales and registration; advertisement flyers; The Karnes Countywide Newspaper; door prize and raffle basket donors; and John Wayne Schulz and Regina Owens – entertainment.
We also would like to thank the members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for all their hard work and efforts in making this benefit happen for the Karnes County Relay for Life 2014. The total income for the Ladies Tea and Salad Luncheon was $8,503.
God has worked his miracles through these ladies again and their hearts are filled with deep gratitude and love for all that everyone has done to make this event a wonderful success for a great and worthy cause that affects everyone in some way.
