This year’s Tocallo’s Boxing team consists of the Coffman brothers, Justin and Jacob, who have been boxing since the age of eight. Last year Jacob reached the state finals and lost a very controversial fight that would have sent young Jacob to the nationals in Birmingham, Alabama. At this year’s Jr Olympics held in Laredo April 25-27, we are expecting both Coffman brothers to win state. Both kids are extremely gifted in and outside the ring, says Head Coach Chris Tobar. Another young kid, Jacob Barrientez is returning for his second year and is expecting to do well this year. J.B. is very young and juggles baseball with boxing and is very dedicated to his work. Rico Perez has extraordinary power and will be exciting to watch develop his skills during this year’s run. David Danmier Jr, also will be making amateur debut joining up with Tocallos this year.
