Lady Badgers win five consecutive district golf titles

The Karnes City Lady Badgers won their fifth consecutive district title on Monday, April 7 in Seguin.

They were led by senior Stephanie Garcez with a score of 102.

Other scores were Shelby Helms-106, Cameo Crabtree-111, Elena Alemon-112 and Jordan Garcez-114.

They shot a team score of 431.

They will compete at regional on april 14 and 15.

On Feb. 17, the Lady Badgers traveled to play in the Navarro golf tournament.

They placed 3rd in the tournament.

Stephanie Garcez led the way with a 109, followed by Adriana Serna-110, Cameo Crabtree-114, Jordan Garcez-115 and Shelby Helms-120, for a team score of 438.

On March 17 the girls traveled to New Braunfels to play in the randolph tournament.

They shot a score of 469.

Leading the Lady Badgers was Jordan Garcez-113, Stephanie Garcez-117, Elena Alemon-119 and Cameo Crabtree-120.

On March 24, the Lady Badgers played in the Karnes County Jr. Golf Tournament. They placed 1st with a score of 447. Senior Stephanie Garcez led the way with a 110, followed by Shelby Helms-111, Jordan Garcez-118, Elena Alemon-118, and Adriana Serna-139.

Coaches expressed congratulations to the Lady Badgers for their fifth consecutive district title.
