Lloyd Kerlick Radicke was born in Karnes County on August 7th, 1931 and went to his reward on May 2nd, 2014. Lloyd was predeceased by his parents Sylvia and Anton Radicke, brothers Richard, Jerry, Wilbert (“Slim”), Norman (“Normie”), and nephew Wilbert “Gary” Radicke.

He is survived by niece Connie Jean Pieprycza and husband Bobby, niece Lana Jo Radicke, niece Donna Canada and husband Eddie, nephew David Radicke and wife Karen, nephew Russell Radicke and wife Carmen, nephew Richard Ray Radicke, and many great nieces and nephews.

Lloyd graduated from Roosevelt High in San Antonio and then went to work as a civilian contractor for the Air Force where he worked until his retirement. He worked on pre-computing punch cards and often marveled at how far computers had evolved in his lifetime. He worked primarily on the bases in San Antonio, but also travelled as far as North Africa, and was very proud of his awards and achievements at work.

Lloyd was a strong Christian and spoke often of his ‘going home.’ He loved watching the Spurs, and—in the last few years—really enjoyed spending time on his properties, hand feeding the tamer cattle. He was a kind, gentle, sweet man, and was quick with a smile or laugh.

He will be missed dearly by those who love him—until we see him again.

Graveside Service: Gillett Cemetery, Saturday May 10th at 10:30am.
