Chester R. Pilarczyk passed away May 3, 2014, at home. Chet was born August 31, 1936 in Cestohowa, Texas, the son of Leon and Sallie Mutz Pilarczyk. Chet married and was later divorced.

Chet retired from Thiokol Corp (ATK) Production Control Space Operations Final Assembly after 33 years of service. Chet was a member of Saint James Catholic Church, also the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #2472 in Ogden, Utah; the American Legion in Huntsville, Utah; and VFW in Ogden, Utah. He also enjoyed trips to Wendover.

Chet enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting, and coaching little league and Babe Ruth baseball. He also coached and played softball and baseball for many years.

Chet graduated from Falls City High School (Falls City Beavers) in Falls City Texas in 1954. He was involved in playing football and running track.

Chet is survived by three sons, Rick (Shelly) Pilarczyk, Hooper Utah; Larry (Lainie) Pilarczyk, Honeyville Utah; Janes (Jeana) Pilarczyk, Layton Utah; a daughter, Lori (Paul) Pilarczyk Patterson Russell, Morgan Utah; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Leon (Alice) Pilarczyk, San Antonio Texas, and a sister, Margaret Kolodziej, Chestohowa Texas.

Chet was preceeded in death by five brothers and one sister.

A viewing and reading of the rosary was held at Lindquist Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd, on May 9 from 6 to 8pm. Memorial mass was held on Saturday May10, at 1pm St. James Catholic Church.
