The Karnes City Garden Club members are continuing to pay homage to our honored military soldiers. Please see the photo accompanying this article.

We wish to remind our members about the first annual upcoming meeting to be held on Thursday, Sept. 18 at the St. Cornelius Church meeting room #4 at 2 p.m. The guest speaker will be Tony and Dora Perez, who will speak about the many trips they took over the past several years to countries in Europe.

We have many wonderful events planned for our members and their guests to enjoy during the upcoming year. If you wish to join the Home and Garden Club, please call Gladys Janysek at 830-780-2483 or Johnie Hall at 830-780-3842. The dues are $10 per year.

Home tip: You can clean your favorite purse by using watered down dish washing liquid and wiping the outside of your vinyl of cloth bag.
