Alicia Cabrera, 80, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010 at a San Antonio nursing home.

She was born to Jesus and Guadalupe (Garcia) Ybanez on June 15, 1930 in George West, Texas. She was a housewife and was living in Kenedy before her stay at the nursing facility.

Survivors include her companion, Luiz Ramos of Kenedy; a son, Rodolfo Valdez of Pflugerville; two brothers, Recardo and Roy Ybanez of Brownsville; one sister, Sophia Bernal of George West; 14 grandchildren and nine 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, Oct. 22, from 6-8:30 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7 p.m., at Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers.

Funeral mass was held on Saturday, Oct. 23, at 11 a.m., at St. George Catholic Church in George West. Burial followed at the George West Cemetery in George West.

Services entrusted to Roberson Funeral Home, Three Rivers.
