Laura Rendon and Joseph Soliz, both of Beeville, are proud to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Alfredo and Mary Rendon of Beeville. She is the granddaughter of Aurora Rendon of Beeville and the late Librado Rendon and the late Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Cantu of Raymondville. She graduated from A.C. Jones High School in 2001 and earned her associate in applied science degree from Del Mar College. She currently is employed as a dental assistant.

The prospective groom is the son of Joe and Ruby Soliz of Beeville. He is the grandson of Sofia Flores of Beeville and the late Richard Flores and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jose Soliz Sr. of Beeville. He graduated from A.C. Jones High School in 2000 and entered the U.S. Marine Corps. He was discharged in 2004 and currently works as a juvenile drill instructor.

The couple plan to be wed on Saturday, Nov. 20, in Corpus Christi.
