Rosendo Colunga, 54, of George West died on Nov. 7, 2010. He was born to Juan Colunga and Saturnina (Dominguez) Colunga on March 15, 1956 in McAllen. He was a member of St. George Catholic Church of George West.

He was preceded in death by his father, Juan Colunga, a brother, Juan Colunga, Jr. and a sister, Florinda Carvajal.

He is survived by his mother, Saturnina Colunga of George West; three sisters, Delma (Amador) Gutierrez, Caterina Colunga, Maria (Antonio) Zuniga all of George West, a brother, Jose “Joe” (Emma) Colunga of George West and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was Tuesday, Nov. 9 from 1 p.m.-6 p.m. at Galloway and Sons George West Chapel. Rosary was held at 7 p.m. at St. George Catholic Church.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 10, (today) at 10 a.m. at St. George Catholic Church with Father George Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow at George West Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Armando Gutierrez, Juan Zuniga and Tony Zuniga.

Arrangements are under the direction of Galloway and Sons Funeral Home.
