Fall team tennis is over but the sub-varsity netters are still on the court. The Beeville Trojan JV and freshman squads were at the Kingsville Fall Invitational last Friday and captured second place trophies in both divisions.

Seven schools attended the meet which was held on the Calallen courts.

Beeville’s JV boys doubles tandem of Jesse Barrera and Marcos Ulloa placed second as did JV girls singles player Jazzrey Gomez. Lindsey Roberson and Emily Barris also captured second place, dropping the championship contest in a tiebreaker.

Trojan Tyler Stewart led the ninth-grade assault with a fourth place finish in the singles competition.

Consolation bracket winners for the Trojans included Robert Reyna and Colton Wren in doubles.
