The Refugio County Retired School Personnel hosted guest speakers Rob Fargular with Stroke Scan and Cindy Myers, RN, with hospice of South Texas at its meeting on Nov. 11.

Farguhar, senior health coordinator with Stroke Scan will return to Refugio to conduct stroke screenings at the Refugio City Hall Monday, Nov. 29. For an appointment call 1-866-935-7226.

Myers spoke on the phases of hospice care and the importance of having a living will.

C.C. Edge opened the meeting with a prayer and pledge to the flags. President Martha Wallace conducted a brief business meeting. Fourteen members and two guests were present. Hostesses were Austwell-Tivoli members.

The next meeting is set for Thursday, Dec. 9, at the Refugio City Hall. All members are asked to bring a covered dish. A musical program will be presented.

The officers will act as hosts.
