Registration for the March exit level tests opens December 6, 2010, and ends at 5:00 PM (CT), January 21, 2011. The TAKS exit level tests will be administered on March 1, 2011, (English language arts); March 2, 2011, (mathematics); March 3, 2011, (science); and March 4, 2011, (social studies). A list of participating campuses can be found at http://www.TexasAssessment.com/oosTestSites.
Since the TAAS tests are no longer being administered, former TAAS examinees (including former TEAMS examinees) will take the appropriate part of the TAKS exit level English language arts and/or mathematics test(s). The next administration of the TAKS retests for former TAAS examinees will be March 1, 2011, for English language arts writing; March 2, 2011, for mathematics; and March 3, 2011, for English language arts reading. TAKS scores will be matched to the appropriate TAAS passing standard.
On the day(s) of testing, examinees should arrive at the test site 30 minutes before the designated testing time. Examinees must present picture identification, such as a driver’s license, DPS ID, military ID, school ID, or resident alien card to test, along with their Social Security number. Examinees will not be able to take the test(s) without a picture ID.
If you plan to take the test at George West High School and have further questions, please contact Mrs. Kristy Keach at 361.449.1914 extension 1081 or by email at kkeach@gwisd.esc2.net.
