He was preceded in death by his father, brother Mark Gomez; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs Louis Yanez; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Luciano Gomez Sr.
Survivor's include his mother, three sisters, Isabel Leal and Petra Blanton both of Victoria, and Mary Lou Martinez of Richmond; four brothers, Rudy Gomez of Elgin, Juan Gomez of Austin, Luciano Gomez, of Tivoli, Richard Gomez, of Victoria.
A rosary was recited Wednesday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m. at Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church of Tivoli. Visitation was Thursday, Dec. 9, at 9 a.m. at Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
Burial was in St. Bernard Cemetery in Woodsboro.
