On behalf of the Beeville Vineyard, I thank the churches, businesses and service organizations who came through with food and funding for Thanksgiving.

We gave out 150 boxes of food in November to families suffering financial need.

Coastal Bend College brought 23 reusable Cougar blue bags full of canned goods. Pete Patel brought an SUV completely full of canned and dry goods, fresh apples and oranges. R.A. Hall Elementary students brought 284 cans.

The Kicker 106 food drive brought in a truckload from several area businesses.

Woodforest Bank donated funds for purchase of holiday food, as did many churches and individuals. We were able to buy 100 turkeys and already-filled holiday food boxes from the food bank. Our volunteers then added enough for four days of groceries.

Thanks to all who shared so that other families might enjoy several days of good meals.

Bettye Hale,

Executive Director

Beeville Vineyard
