“Let’s be jolly; Deck the halls with boughs of holly while Rocking around the Christmas tree forest” at First State Bank in Three Rivers. Vote for your favorite tree by donating money to that organization’s tree. The nine participants that decorated a tree are: TR Elementary 1st grade class of Kim Graves, The Goodie Box, Girls Scouts of Live Oak-McMullen County, Our Savior Lutheran Church, First State Bank-TR, TR Chamber of Commerce, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Boys And Girls Club of LOC and, of course, the Garden Club.

The Christmas trees that raise the most money will be awarded a trophy and the money raised will go to The Boys and Girls Club of LOC. We will have 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Winners will be announced on Jan. 3, 2011. Spectators have three weeks to come in and vote.

If your child is in first grade, come in and put 50¢ or $1 towards their tree featuring the children’s hand-made decorations. If you like the Salsa Festival, show your support and drop some money in their jar. If you enjoy browsing at the Goodie Box or just like visiting with the ladies that run it, vote on their tree. You get the idea of how the winners will be judged. All the money that is raised will be greatly appreciated. I would like to thank all the participants for taking the time to join this fun contest.
