Last month members of the A.C. Jones High School Mighty Trojan Band competed in a series of tryouts for the All-State band. District tryouts were held in Port Lavaca and region and area tryouts are held in Alice.
“With every tryout, more school bands participate, and the competition is harder. It takes much work to perform with the state’s best high school musicians in the All-State Band.
