On Dec. 21, the Beeville Garden Club was hosted by Gwen DeWitt at her festively decorated home.

“Painted Flower Pots” and “How to Make Stepping Stones,” the program’s topics, were presented by Natalie Arispe.

The club’s joint efforts with the Goliad Food Bank to help supply food and clothing and donations to people in need were very successful and may become an annual event for the club’s Christmas projects. Susan Fields and Kathy Peters represented the Garden Club during the event and helped deliver the club’s donations. Della Schwenke collaborated with members to provide new socks for residents of local nursing homes and delivered them during the Christmas holidays.

Goodies were served, door prizes awarded and members enjoyed a tour of Gwen’s greenhouse.

Everyone is invited to attend the club’s Decorated Table Show in February, to be held at the First Baptist Church. Members will present individually decorated tables to the theme, “Table Talk.” The show will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
