The first half of district play came to an end and the Cats began the second half of district play against Bishop Tuesday night.
The Cats came out strong as they poured in 17 points in the first quarter.
The Buckaroos showed off their shooting ability as they hit five 3’s in the first half to close the gap on the Bobcats. At the end of the half, the Bobcats led 28-21.
The third quarter was a much more defensive quarter for both teams but the Bobcats prevailed, out-scoring the Buckaroos 8-6.
With the fourth quarter left, the Bobcats dug deep to hold on to their lead to earn the win. Freer ended the game with nine 3’s but it wasn’t enough to knock off the determined Bobcats.
Brett Davis led the team with 14 points, followed closely by Tanner Myers with 11, Christian Padron, 7; Josh Alsop, 4; Aaron Perez and Donald Trevino, 3 each; and Jeff Soto, 2.
The Bobcats started the second half of district with a 4-3 record.
