“At a time of high unemployment and severe budget deficits, the Obama administration has put thousands of good-paying jobs and billions in much-needed government revenues at risk through its moratorium imposed last year and permitting delays for deepwater and shallow water exploration.
“Make no mistake, this moratorium has not yet been lifted. This industry has presented containment strategies based on guidance from regulators and the ball is now fully in the administration’s court. I urge the Obama administration to act before more businesses are forced to move from the Gulf Coast and seek work elsewhere.”
