The Refugio Lady Cat Softball team took the championship trophy this weekend at the Remember Goliad Tournament.

The Lady Cats were undefeated in the tournament, beating Bloomington 25-0, Goliad 14-1, Orange Grove 15-0, Ganado 17-1 and Freer 15-0.

The Lady Cats contributing to the championship win were Morgan Klaevemann with 12 hits, 13 runs, 3 RBI’s and 6 stolen bases; Cecilia Bauer, 14 hits, 14 runs, 9 RBI’s and 7 stolen bases; Shelby Bellows, 6 hits, 11 runs, and 9 RBI’s; Kristen Wise, 11 hits, 10 runs, 7 RBI’s and 2 stolen bases; Michelle Rosas, 5 hits, 9 runs, 4 RBI’s and 2 stolen bases; Hailey Brynelsen, 2 hits, 2 runs, 3 RBI’s and 1 stolen base; Chelsea Lara, 6 hits, 10 runs and 8 RBI’s; Jackie Gonzalez, 6 hits, 6 runs and 5 RBI’s; Cassandra Ramirez, 1 hit, 2 runs and 2 RBI’s; Nina Rodriguez, 4 hits, 5 runs, and 1 RBI.

The JV Lady Cats also participated in the tournament winning against Goliad 12-5.
