Coastal Bend College is pleased to partner with America’s Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA) to host an Open House to discuss the benefits and opportunites related to development of The Eale Ford Shale on March 3, 2011 at the City of Kenedy Municipal Auditorium located at 303 W. Main in Kenedy, Texas 78119.

Companies have been drilling safely for natural gas and oil in the surrounding area for years. Now, recent technology advancements are allowing recovery of new abundant natural gas and oil reserves in a deep geological formation called The Eagle Ford Shale. This presents a rare and exciting opportunity for the South Texas communities, as tapping the formation will bring new jobs, training, long-term investment and a brighter economic future for our kids and grandkids.

The Open House event will include a presentation by natural gas companies active in the area and local leaders and experts, as well as show-and-tell displays addressing what the community can expect, how the drilling process works, what you need to know about leasing your land, as well as local training opportunities, and the projected economic benefits to the region. This is a prime opportunity for members of our community to ask questions and learn moreabout what development of the Eagle Ford Shale means for us and our neighbors.

Additional participants include Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association (TIPRO), American Royalty Council (ARC), Texas Oil & Gas Association (TXOGA), and Texas Workforce Solutions representatives.
