The National Honor Society at A.C. Jones High School is now accepting interest forms for 2011 membership. Sophomores, juniors and seniors who are interested can pick up an interest form from either Ms. LeBourveau in Room 109 or Mrs. Latcham in Room 113.

Candidates must have a cumulative (throughout high school), unweighted (without the weighted points) grade point average of 88 or higher and have completed a minimum of eight semesters of AP or pre-AP classes by the end of the sophomore year. They also must maintain enrollment in at least one AP or pre-AP class at all times, as well as maintain the 88 cumulative, unweighted average. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate leadership, service and character.

The interest forms must be submitted no later than 4 p.m. Friday. The induction ceremony for new members will be Monday, March 28, at 6 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
