Tin Roof Tango will take next Sunday’s audience on a musical journey around the earth — crossing oceans in a flash, careening merrily from country to country with only a moment’s notice.

The group will perform for the Beeville Concert Association at 3 p.m. in the Gertrude R. Jones Performing Arts Auditorium at Coastal Bend College on March 6.

Their concert is made possible with partial funding from the Coastal Bend Community Foundation’s Janet Harte Memorial Endowment Fund.

Audience members should prepare for a sonic excursion that operates with the element of surprise as Tin Roof Tango leads the audience along the world soundscape revealing destinations as the safari progresses.

The Big Acoustic World Show includes music from six continents: Asia, Europe, Australia, North America, Africa and South America.

A variety of tunes from a wealth of composers, both known and anonymous, are presented through the creative arranging skills of Marks Shelton and the members of Tin Roof Tango with an assortment of more than 20 instruments.

If you plan to attend, get ready to travel.

The concert is free to all students through high school age and to CBC students with their student identification. Other adults who do not hold BCA season tickets will pay $10 at the door.
