Rhonda Jean Nyquist, 56, of San Antonio, died Friday, March 4, 2011 in Canyon Lake. She was born July 24, 1954, in Baytown, to R.L. and Tommie (Winfield) Edwards of Kenedy. She was a retired teacher and a Christian.

She is survived by her parents; husband, Alvin E. Nyquist of San Antonio; daughters, Caitlyn Class of Sweeden and Lauren Melese Class of Salt Lake City; sons, Lamont Class and Corbin Class, both of Salt Lake City; sisters, Karen Reynolds of Canyon Lake and Loretta Thiele of Kenedy; and brothers, Robert Edwards of Corpus Christi and Tracy Edwards of Lufkin.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Kenedy, the Rev. Wally Schievelbein officiating. A private burial was held at the Pawnee Cemetery in Pawnee, TX.
