Kenedy hosts baseball and softball tourney

The Kenedy Athletic Booster Club will be hosting the annual Kenedy Baseball and Softball Classic this Thursday, Feb. 25 through Saturday, Feb. 27.

The Kenedy Softball Classic will be hosting 13 teams with play taking place on both softball fields.

Schools competing in the three day tournament for softball will be Jourdanton, Karnes City, San Diego, Falls City, Stockdale, Skidmore-Tynan, Pettus, Nixon-Smiley, Pettus JV, Three Rivers, Runge, St. Joseph JV, as well as Kenedy.

Kenedy Leopards will play at 9am on the Annadel Rogers Field.

Thursday and Friday games begin at 8am.

Kenedy baseball will be hosting its tournament at Red Holshak Field with 8 teams consisting of Pettus, Sabinal, Runge, Yorktown, SA Home School, S.A. Hawkiins, and West Oso.

The Kenedy Lions will be playing on Thursday at 11:30am versus the Runge Yellowjackets.

The Kenedy Athletic Booster Club will be having a concession stand with bar-be-que on buns, nachos, Frito-pies, and other seasonal goodies on each day.

The Booster Club will also be selling softball tourney t-shirts with the teams competing on the tee. Gate entry fees are $3 for adults and $1 for students & children.
