Belan Rodriguez, 60, of Karnes City, passed away Friday, June 18, in Kenedy. She was born Aug. 25, 1949, in Karnes City to Lupe Rodriguez and Delfina Gamboa Rodriguez.

Belan was a home health provider, and a member of St. Cornelius Catholic Church. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and the Virgin de Guadalupe; she was a wonderful grandmother and loved visiting with her sisters.

She is survived by her mother Delfina Gamboa Rodriguez of Karnes City; daughters Roxanne Velasquez of Kenedy, and Rhonda Soliz of Kenedy; sons Richard Rodriguez of San Antonio, and Roland Rodriguez of Phoenixville, Pa.; grandchildren Deme Barrera, Daynii Barrera, Jermanii Salas, Taylor Rodriguez, Cami Rodriguez, Katelyn Rodriguez, and Daniel Cruz; brothers Carlos Rodriguez of Yorktown, Lupe Rodriguez of Kenedy, Moses Rodriguez of Karnes City, Joe Abel Rodriguez of Houston, and Mike Rodriguez of Morre, Texas; and sisters Clara Morales of San Antonio, Irene Hernandez of Sweetwater, Texas, Linda Diaz of Karnes City, Mary Ann Zamora of Kenedy, Connie Moses of Fort Worth, Norma Goodhue of Karnes City, Lora Zimmermann of Karnes City, and Nora Leal of Karnes City.

She is preceded in death by her father Lupe Rodriguez; brother Oscar Rodriguez, and sister Emma Linda Rodriguez. A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m., Monday June 21, at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel in Karnes City with a funeral mass being celebrated 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 22, at St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Karnes City.

Interment followed in the Karnes City Latin Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Larry Diaz, Joshua Granado, Robby Zamora, Jagger Zimmermann, Chance Leal, and Chayse Leal.
