She lived a long, wonderful life. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and a great grandmother. She was a member of the George West Iglesia De Cristo and was a strong, Christian lady. Juanita was a selfless woman who loved her family dearly and treated everyone with dignity and respect. She will be greatly missed on earth and rejoiced in heaven. She was truly an Angel on Earth who instilled faith, prayer, and a strong work ethic in her family so they could accomplish anything.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jose Cuevas, her eldest son Richard Cuevas, and all of her brothers and sisters.
She had nine children, 14 grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. They are as follows: daughter Mary Calvert of Buda, son Filimon Cuevas of George West, daughter Connie Perez and husband Juan of Corpus Christi, daughter Esperanza (Hope) Rivas and husband Lino of Corpus Christi, daughter Mickey Gutierrez and husband Joe of George West, son Mariano Cuevas and wife Janie of San Antonio, daughter Mate Teneyuque and husband Paul of Cedar Park, son Raymond Cuevas and wife Martha of San Antonio and a daughter in law Leo Cuevas of Whitsett. Grandchildren Candy Amaro, Christi Coscetti and husband David, Guadalupe and Arthur Chavarria, Janie Kohl and husband Harold, Angela Becerra and husband Javier, Miranda Garcia and husband Eric, Amanda Gutierrez, Michael Gutierrez and wife Amanda, Mario Cuevas, Kelly and Andy Teneyuque, Daniel Cuevas and Joey Rivas. Great Grandchildren Alexandra and Isabella Coscetti, Hayden Kohl, Skyla Chavarria, Javier J Becerra, Mia Gutierrez, CJ and JC Amaro, Joey Rivas, and Noah Trevino.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2011, at the Church of Christ on Bowie St from 5-9 p.m. A prayer service will be held that same evening at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held the following day, Friday, March 25, 2011, at 10 a.m. with Mr. Pete Garza officiating at the Church of Christ on Bowie St. Interment to follow at the George West Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
