The devotion for this week is “It Takes A Friend” by Marilyn Kubalak. Scripture is from Proverbs 27:10 “Thine own friends, and thy father’s friend, forsake not”
“Friends in your life are like pillars on our porch. Sometimes they lean on you. Sometime it’s just enough to know they’re standing by” (unkown)
Isn’t friendship and the resulting close relationship of unrelated people a unique gift from God?
Imagine life without friends!
Sometimes I’m afraid I take friends for granted; neglecting, rejecting, forgetting and leaving them behind without a backward glance.
I vow to try harder to be a better friend; to be grateful for my unique gifts from God – my dear friends
Thought: God will wrap His arms around you through the arms of a good friend.
Prayer: Dear Father, as Jesus was a friend; faithful, kind and loving, let me be worthy of friendship and a worthy friend. Amen.
