Commissioner Gary Bourland presided over the commissioners court meeting Tuesday morning in the absence of Judge Rene Mascorro. The court approved the sale of 18 ranchettes in Mission River Oaks.

Alice Garcia, representing Linebarger, Goggan, Blair and Sampson, said these were the last properties up for tax sale in Mission River Oaks.

Although the taxing entities including Refugio County, Woodsborto ISD, the hospital district, WCID #2 and the Refugio Groundwater District will receive no money from the sale of the Mission River Oaks property, the commissioners approved the sale to get properties back on the tax rolls.

The court approved the sale of 18 properties to Walter Lott of Rockport, including 10 on Luke Road for $100 each; four on River Oaks Road for $200 each; two on River Oaks Road for $250 each; and one at 902 Chaparral in Woodsboro for $1,700.

The ranchettes have a tax value of approximately $1,880.

The court also approved the sale of one ranchette on White Tail Lane to Garrett Engelking of Refugio for $100; and one to Arlen Lokey of Woodsboro for $250. The properties are valued at $3,990.

The court also approved the sale of property at 203 Commerce St. to Angie Zuiniga of Refugio for $5,000; and property at 515 E. Ward St. to Mason Avery of Refugio for $1,310.
