Treasurer Connie Reardon covered the financial report for March. She stated that the profit from the April rummage sale was over a $1,000. Lucy Cantu brought up participation in the Pioneer Days on Saturday, April 16th. Members staffed the booth and sold our recipe and history books, raffle tickets, bazaar items and a bargain table of rummage items. Remaining items from the rummage sale will be sold in a “dollar bag” sale later in the summer.
Members decided to purchase personalized pens with “Lagarto Community Club” engraved on them as gifts for our guest speakers and other special projects. The sale of our personalized kitchen projects has netted us a $100 profit so far and the final order will be placed after the May club meeting. The drawing for our Mother’s Day Raffle will be held May 5th. You can purchase your tickets until then.
The following officers were nominated and approved to serve next year: Trish Arink, president; Lee Smith, vice-president; Linda Avila, secretary; Jessica Keese, treasurer; Dottie Meyer, reporter.
Members were asked to sign up for hostess and inspirational talks for next year.
